Ligue 1/Ligue 2 (France) : pas de trophées UNFP cette saison à cause du Covid-19

Interrupted after 28 days, the 2019/2020 season is not a season like any other. The classifications were stopped, PSG and FC Lorient were designated champions of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, Kylian Mbappé and Tino Kadewere designated top scorers of the two professional leagues. In the register of distinctions at the end of the year, we should not go further, truncated season requires.

According to information from  RMC , the National Union of Professional Footballers has decided not to organize its famous evening of the UNFP Trophies this season. While some thought it would be delayed during the summer, the professional football players’ union decided not to take any risks. The announcement should be official in the coming days.

No ceremony, but trophies awarded anyway? The media specifies that the allocation of rewards to highlight sports performance throughout a season is also questioned, while 10 days are missing for the exercise to be complete. A season like no other.
